In this Itinerary we will take you to the best spots for birders, making your birding expedition a life time!

Arrival and Transfer

Day1 Arrival and transfer to Lake Victoria Hotel or Travelers inn Entebbe B/B

Entebbe Botanical Gardens

Day2 Enjoy your breakfast and there after take an opportunity to do birding in the Entebbe Botanical Gardens. The gardens host a variety of open country and woodland species which include: Orange Weaver, Red-chested Sunbird, and Sedge Warbler. Dinner and overnight at Acacia lodge

Entebbe – Mabamba swamp

Day3 Leave early in the morning for Mabamba Swamp with picnic lunch. We will look for the rare Shoebill and later we will transfer to Mpanga Forest. This forest is a stunning patch of remnant, medium altitude evergreen and swamp forest. Look out for Blue-breasted kingfisher; Dinner and overnight at Mpanga forest.

Mabamba swamp – Lake Mburo National Park

Day4 Enjoy your morning breakfast and there after checkout of mpanga forest and proceed to lake Mburo national park on your way visit the drum making local personal enjoy a game drive while you are entering lake Mburo. Dinner and overnight at Rwonyo tented camp or Acadia hotel.

Day5 Enjoy a game drive while on the drive look out for the Red faced Barbet, Bare faced go away bird, Varreaux’s Eagle Owl Lunch break. Transfer to the lakeside for a boat ride. Dinner & overnight at upgrade Acadia lodge

Day6 Enjoy a beautiful drive to Lake Bunyonyi dinner and overnight at overland cottages

Day7 Take boat ride along the lake for birding with your packed lunch return in the afternoon for dinner and overnight at Overland cottages

Lake Bunyonyi – Ruhijja

Day8 Check out of Lake Bunyonyi and depart to Ruhiija. Several stops at suitable birding sites may produce rare species such as White-starred Robin. Dinner and overnight at Ruhija bands or Buhoma community bands

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Day9 Enjoy your drive to Bwindi Impenetrable forest the home of the giant cousins of human beings. Birding begins early in the morning with the early risers at the luxury bush camp. Return for dinner and overnight at Buhoma community bandas

Bwindi – Ishasha sector

day10 Check out of Bwindi and drive to Islasha the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth national park famous for its tree climbing lion’s dinner and overnight at Ishasha wildness camp or ishasha bandas

Ishasha – Queen Elizabeth National Park

Day11 Enjoy morning game drive and there after check out and proceed to the northern sector. The drive takes you through the grasslands of Ankole; look out for the famous long horned cattle; Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge FB.

Maramagambo forest – Birding

Day12 After an early breakfast drive to Maramagambo for a nature walk through the forest. The highlight of this nature walk is the visit to the bat cave on a good day the black and white colobus monkeys may also be seen. Transfer to the dock on the channel for an afternoon launch cruise. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge FB

Queen Elizabeth – Kibale National Park

Day13 After breakfast transfer to Kibale Forest National Park. This park is home to the largest number of the endangered Chimpanzee as well as the rare I’hoesti and Colobus monkeys. Over 325 bird species have been recorded. Dinner and overnight at budget-Rwenzori View guest House, midrange-Mountains of the moon hotel, upgrade-Kibale Primate Lodge FB

Day14 After an early breakfast, go out to the forest in search of the Will cocks honey guide, Joyful Greenbul, superb Black Bee eater, black bellied seed cracker, bush pig and the giant forest hog may also be spotted. After lunch you will visit the Bigodi wetland sanctuary. Dinner and overnight at budget-Rwenzori View guest House BB

Semuliki forest – Birding

Day15 Whole day birding in the Semuliki Forest Semulike lodge or Rwen¬zori view guest house in fort portal

Semuliki – Hoima

Day16 Enjoy your breakfast and there after proceed to Hoima dinner and overnight Kolpine Hotel or Koti Hotel

Budongo forest – Birding

Day17 Depart early in the morning for and Set off for Budongo Forest with several stops for birds on the way. Look out for the Whit e-crested Turaco,. Stop for lunch at Masindi Hotel. Continue to Budongo Nyabyeya Guest House. There after proceed Masindi Hotel or Court view Hotel dinner and overnight

Budongo – Murchison falls National Park

Day18 Check out of Budongo and proceed to Murchison Falls National Park. This park has a variety of tourist facilities and is becoming well known internationally as one of the best sites in Africa: Dinner and overnight at budget-Red Chili Camp bed only, mid range – Sambiya River Lodge.

Day19 Rise early morning and embark on a game drive. Look out for bird species such as the spotted morning thrush, Den¬han’s Bustard, Pallid Harrier, and other animals such as Giraffes, Elephants. Lunch break; Dinner and over night at at budget-Red Chili Camp bed only, midrange – Sambiya River Lodge or Para Safari Lodge FB

Murchison falls – Kampala

Day20 Check out and enjoy your drive back to Kampala dinner and overnight at acacia lodge
